Terms of use

How this portal works.

What it is, how it is used, and the few promises that come with it.

01 · The firm

Who you are dealing with.

clients.modernlaohomes.com is operated by Modern Lao Sole Co., Ltd., a private design firm registered in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

The portal is a private extension of your engagement. Not a marketplace, introducer, or public information service.

02 · Purpose

What this portal is for.

One place to read your proposal, sign the design contract (MLH-DSN-2026-002 series), submit your brief, and confirm payment.

It does not replace the written design contract. The contract governs the work itself.

03 · Your account

Your account.

Your login is tied to one email address. Anyone with access to that inbox can sign in — keep it secure.

If your email changes, tell us so we can update your record.

04 · What you upload

What you upload.

By uploading a receipt, Schedule B answer, or any other file, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not breach Lao or Singaporean law.

05 · What we promise

What we promise.

The portal stays available to you for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable time after — barring short maintenance windows or events outside our reasonable control (power, internet, civil emergency).

06 · What we don’t promise

What we don’t promise.

The portal is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, freedom from every imaginable error, or immunity from every imaginable security risk.

We do take care.

07 · Limit of liability

Limit of liability.

Our total liability for anything arising from your use of this portal is capped at the design fee you have paid us under the most recent design contract.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under Lao law.

08 · Governing law

Governing law.

Lao PDR.

If a dispute arises, we agree to first try to resolve it directly with Gary at the office, then by mediation in Vientiane, before any court action.

09 · Changes

Changes to these terms.

This page is updated from time to time.

No term will be changed in a way that materially reduces your rights without 14 days’ notice by email.
