Embassy Residence
Kitchen.
A full kitchen renovation inside the Australian Ambassador's residence — strip-out, joinery, peninsula seating, and finish-grade detailing across a working diplomatic household.
The Australian Ambassador's residence kitchen had outlived its layout. The brief: a working chef's kitchen for a household that hosts diplomatic events, fitted into the existing room without expanding the footprint.
Modern Lao Homes carried out the strip-out, replumbed and rewired to current spec, then rebuilt the kitchen around a peninsula. Stone surfaces, integrated appliances, range hood. The cabinetry runs continuous from cooking face to seating face — one move, two functions.
The work was completed without disrupting the residence's calendar. A renovation of this kind is judged at the joins; we photographed those.
